According to health officials in Hawaii, the U.S. seeing a number of sexually transmitted disease. The Aloha State has reported a compelling increase in chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis. All three of the infections were near the highest rates in about 30 years.
In the year 2018, it was recorded about 7,732 cases of chlamydia, among which 5,972 cases were from 2008. The numbers of patients suffering from gonorrhoea were doubled over the last decade from 611 to 1,496 cases. According, to the official details the patients with syphilis infections increased to 180 cases from 38 decades ago.
The Hawaii Department of Health Harm Reduction Service Branch told news about the rise infection that blamed online dating through the social media apps that can be easier to make a connection with more people.
The person who is affected with the infections doesn’t have any symptoms in the preliminary stage that would warn among the patients that something is wrong and said there has also been decreasing conviction on condoms or contraceptive for protection against acquiring or spreading STDs. The sexually transmitted diseases are spreading rapidly among many people through online dating services. More chances of infection occur due to more partners.
The Hawaii figures are compared with national rates of chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis infections, which have risen in the fifth year in a row.
The three diseases do not cause any earlier symptoms hence the patients are not alerted that they acquired an infected disease.
The Centres for Disease Control and Prevention have increased across the three most commonly reported STDs between the year 2017 and 2018. More than 115,000 syphilis cases were reported, more than 580,000 cases of gonorrhoea were reported, and 1.7 million cases of chlamydia have been reported.
